Lunches - light lunches or cooked meals
We offer good home cooked, well presented food with most lunch dishes priced under £10. Our portions are generous and include fresh seasonal vegetables or salads. We source our food locally if at all possible.
Our light lunches include freshly made sandwiches or home made soups with a savoury scone or for those with a larger appetite our full lunch menu offers a choice of meat, fish and vegetarian dishes which change daily - see our Daily Specials and Main Menus as a guide to the type of dishes we offer.
Sunday Roasts
During the summer months our Sunday roasts are available once a month. Please ring to enquire what Sunday it is on and to book a table as they are very popular (01797 222227). They include a choice of roast meats, roast potatoes, fresh vegetables and home made gravy. Our meals are not mass produced or kept warm - but freshly cooked so be sure to book as the number of meals we serve is limited. We will soon be going back to weekly roasts - follow our Blog for regular updates on our menus.
Fletcher Set Teas
Don't miss a Fletcher Set Tea, served in true traditional English style on an antique cake stand. Teas include home made cakes, scones, sandwiches and a pot of tea. Perhaps you would prefer a cream tea with home made scones, prepared and baked on the premises each day, and served with cream and jams. Delicious!
Wine List
You can enjoy a glass of wine with your lunch or Sunday Roast. We invited 30 locals to our restaurant to help us choose our wine list which includes quality French and New World wines at very reasonable prices. If you prefer something non alcholic try our fresh fruit juices from local fruit juice producer - Owletts in Sussex.
Take aways/outside dinners and lunches
Many of our locals like to take soup, cakes, scones or other dishes back home, either to eat themselves or to share with others. We are happy to provide this service. We would also be willing to discuss delivering lunches or dinners for groups - so entertain the easy way.
